Bike and truck collide

A Sandys man was injured on Thursday evening when his cycle was involved in a collision with a truck on Middle Road in Warwick.

The 35-year-old man was taken to King Edward Memorial Hospital for cuts and abrasions to his face and subsequently released in the early hours of Friday morning. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Police attended the site of the collision at the junction of Middle Road and Ten Pin Crescent in Warwick at 9.55 p.m. on Thursday evening.

It appears the motorcycle was travelling west on Middle Road when a truck, travelling in the opposite direction, attempted to make a right turn onto Ten Pin Crescent resulting in a collision. The cycle received extensive damage and the truck received rear-end damage, the Police statement said.

Inquiries into this incident are underway.
