Smith booked as Revs beat division leaders
Khano Smith started his second straight game for the play-offs-bound New England Revolution on Saturday night ? though a yellow card late in the game means the Bermuda striker is only a booking away from suspension.
The Revs beat division leaders DC United 2-1 at the RFK Stadium in Washington through goals from forwards Clint Dempsey and Taylor Twellman to move into second place in the Eastern Conference, although the Boston team are already guaranteed a place in the play-offs which begin later this month.
Smith was booked with only five minutes to go in the game ? watched by 21,022 in the US capital ? and was substituted in injury time following 90 minutes of toil on the left wing.
The former Dandy Town striker is expected to be available for Bermuda in the next round of the Digicel Cup which begins in mid-November as the play-offs will by then be over.
