Bermuda beat Bahamas 4-0

Bermuda bounced back from their 3-0 defeat at the hands of St. Vincent with a confidence boosting 4-0 defeat of the Bahamas tonight in Bridgetown, Barbados.

In a dazzling display of attacking football, Bermuda led 3-0 at half time thanks to two goals from Khano Smith and a header from John Barry Nusum, while Kwame Steede knocked in the fourth just before full time.

The result sets Bermuda up for their crunch match on Thursday with host Barbados, who defeated the Bahamas 2-1 on Sunday and upset Digicel Cup group favourites St. Vincent 3-0 tonight.

Barbados now top the group with six points, with Bermuda in second, three points behind, ahead of third-placed St. Vincent on goal difference.

The top two teams in the group go automatically through to the next round, while the third place team faces a playoff.
