Police are warning residents in Bayside Lane, Blue Meadows Lane and Kitty's Drive in Hamilton Parish to be extra vigilant in securing their homes after several reported break-ins in the area.

On Thursday alone, three residents reported their homes had been entered and cash was stolen from the home on Kitty's Drive.

A Police spokesman said: "We are currently conducting an active investigation, and we ask area residents to both be vigilant for any suspicious behaviour in their neighbourhoods and to report and such activity to Police as soon as is convenient."

Police are also on the lookout for a thief who broke into a Paget home and stole the keys to an auxiliary cycle, then stole the cycle. The culprit also stole an amount of coins when inside the house.

The break-in took place on Thursday night in a home on the South Shore Road.
