Missionary set to speak
The Evangelical Church of Bermuda is hosting its Annual Missions Conference this week.
The guest speaker will be Dr. V. Ben Kendrick and his wife Nina Kendrick, who were missionaries in Africa.
Dr. Kendrick, who is director of the Missions Division at Heritage Baptist University, Indiana, has authored seven books. They include ?Buried Alive for Christ?, ?Flight from Death?, ?Battle for Yanga, Yanga ? Miracle Village?, ?The Storyteller?, ?Not Beyond Reach? and ?A World of Treasure?. The latter is co-authored with Mrs. Kendrick.
Mrs. Kendrick teaches missions at Heritage Baptist University and she speaks on a regular basis at GEMS (Giving Encouragement to Mothers), an outreach ministry of the church where she and Dr. Kendrick attend.
Evangelical Church Rev. Bernie L. Payne said his highest goal was to communicate the gospel and he was looking forward to the week of praise. He invited the entire community to attend the services.
Services begin tomorrow morning and will run until Thursday.
Tomorrow morning they will be having adult bible study class, a parade of nations and worship service, and an evening service.
From Monday through Thursday they will have evening services beginning at 7.30.
