Deuss made chairman of BCB
Netherlands Antilles-based bank last week took a 32 percent stake in Bermuda's third bank.
And Mr. Deuss's sister, Ms Martina Deuss, who holds a senior treasury position in his business empire, has also joined the board, along with two other new appointees.
Mr. Deuss takes over as chairman from the Hon. Clarence Terceira, who remains on the Board as vice-president.
The other new directors are Mr. Michael Collins, CEO of Argonaut, and Mr.
Andrew Carr, CEO of Marsh & McLennan.
Leaving the Board are Mr. Ian Brown, general manager of Engravers; Mr. Arliss Francis, owner of Diamond Company; Mr. Luis Bernardo, of Marshall Bernardo Partnership; and four Barclays Bank officers, one from the US, one from Canada, and two from the UK.
Mr. Deuss's bank, First Curacao International Bank formally took over Barclays stake in the BCB last week.
