It was on that date in 1892 that Baha'u'llah, a Persian believed by Baha'is to be the latest, but not the last of God's messengers, died.

Baha'ism, which now claims to be the second most widespread world religion after Christianity, flourishes in more than 175 countries, including Bermuda.

Central to its teaching is an emphasis on the unity of mankind, recognition of other religions and world peace.
