The trial of two parents accused of killing their daughter has been adjourned until tomorrow because the mother is still unwell.
Dr. Amenemhat Waset Amen-Ra Tamerry, 48, and his wife Maatkai Hatsheput Tamerry, 36, are charged with unlawfully killing their ten-month-old daughter, A'Maya.
Last Thursday the trial was adjourned until yesterday because the mother fell ill. But yesterday Chief Justice Richard Ground told the jury that the mother was still not well enough to continue with the trial, so he adjourned until tomorrow.
The Crown alleges that A'Maya died on March 1, 2001 from continual neglect and malnutrition.
