The Government's top accountant joins the group that is made up of senior government officials, executives, auditors and other experts from across Canada.

Associates are invited to comment on proposed PSAAB accounting, reporting and auditing standards during their development and prior to public exposure.

PSAAB has more than 150 associates who provide expert advice to the board, and who play a vital role in building the consensus needed to win governments' acceptance of PSAAB recommendations as authoritative standards.

* * * Miss Jane Barnes , who earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree from Dalhousie University in 1981, was recently promoted to the position of claims administrator with BF&M Life Insurance Company Ltd.

Miss Barnes has over ten years experience as a registered professional nurse in Bermuda and the United States. She has been with BF&M since June 1992.

* * * Mello, Hollis, Jones and Martin has appointed Mr. David J. Addington , a legal executive, the manager of their litigation department.

Mr. Addington, who is a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and member of the Institute of Management, was for many years with Appleby, Spurling and Kempe in a similar capacity.

* * * The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bermuda has announced that Mrs.

Elizabeth Ann Murphy, C.A. has joined Tempest Reinsurance Co. Ltd. as Financial Controller. Mrs. Murphy was previously with Cooper and Lybrand.
