Bermuda Harbour Radio has assumed responsibility for the continuous weather broadcast on marine VHF weather channel two.
A spokesman for the organisation recently said the change came into effect from the beginning of the week.
Mariners equipped with a marine VHF radio can listen on this channel and receive the latest local weather information 24 hours per day along with other maritime safety information.
The forecasts are provided by the Bermuda Weather Service and the service is operated by Harbour Radio with the assistance of the Department of Telecommunications and the Emergency Measures Organisation.
