earlier this year, will give another local performance this month.
Back by popular demand, Cliff Eberhardt promises to give the audience an earful of folk, rock and blues.
Eberhardt, who is currently working on his second album, dazzled his audience in February when he opened the Bermuda Folk Club's 1993 season at the Mariners' Club.
And local fans will get chance to see him again when he performs on August 29 in the Palm Court Club at Sonesta Beach Hotel.
Eberhardt, a major name on the US East Coast folk music circuit, has toured Europe, Canada, and the US. He has also appeared on European radio and television, his own Canadian TV special, and in a concert special on cable music channel VH-1.
Described as a singer of "unfettered soulfulness, an urban troubadour with a modern-day wit and outlook'', Eberhardt is expected, according to Billboard magazine, to become one of the top stars of the '90s.
His critically-acclaimed debut CD, "The Long Road'', was rated top new album by "East Coast Rocker'' magazine, beating out the likes of Sinead O'Connor and Bruce Hornsby.
Tickets for Eberhardt's concert at Sonesta will be $15 and available from Opus 1 on Reid Street in Hamilton.
A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the night of the show which begins at 8 p.m.
