International Ltd. has acquired insurance broker HJF International Ltd. from Mr. Michael Jenkins and Mr. Mike Foulger.

HJF is primarily an insurance broker to Bermuda insurance and reinsurance markets, dealing with ACE, XL and Mid Ocean Re. The addition of HJF will expand Park International's existing presence in those markets.

President Mr. Paul Scope said, "The potential for synergies between Park and HJF in their operations, markets and production sources make this an attractive opportunity for both parties.

"This opportunity, plus the experience and quality of HJF's personnel, are the reasons for the transaction. Park can now be considered the leading independent insurance brokerage firm in Bermuda and when combined with resources of our parent, Mutual Risk, we have one of the strongest brokerage teams in the market, including the alphabet house brokers.'' HJF's staff of four will join the six-person Park team, with Michael Jenkins and Mike Foulger becoming executive vice presidents of Park.

Park was founded in 1989 by Mr. Scope, who joined Mutual Risk in 1992.
