five months -- and are also planning to expand overseas.

While Mr. Clinton Gilbert, 23, who has a business degree from Acadia University, provides much of the business expertise, his younger brother Wayne, 21, is the technician.

Wayne got the ball rolling last December when he opened Cutting Corners, opposite Traditions Restaurant, on Middle Road, Sandys.

A second branch of Cutting Corners will open this week in Ord Road, Warwick, next to Lines Food and Liquor Mart, and will be jointly owned by both men.

Also starting up over the next few days is another business, owned by Clinton, called Jason's Barber Shop, on North Shore Road, Pembroke.

"We've decided to really get ahead in this business,'' said Wayne. "We'll move in wherever we see an opening and are always looking for possibilities.

We both have ties with Canada and I'm planning to open up a branch there early in 1995.'' Clinton said one of the strengths of the group of businesses would be a mobile hair-cutting network which they are in the process of establishing between all three sites.

"We'll go to old people's homes or clubs and anywhere where there are large groups of people and cut everyone's hair.'' Added Wayne: "We want to provide as complete a service as possible, so people can get their hair cut at their convenience.'' "We welcome any barbers who are looking for extra work on Sundays to contact us to help us to provide a complete service.'' BROTHERS IN BUSINESS -- Messrs. Wayne, left, andClinton Gilbert.
