This stunning image captured by Bermudian Jennifer Prescott was named as one of the “pictures of the year” selected by a UK national newspaper.The image of a rainbow over John Smith’s Bay was taken by Mrs Prescott the day before Tropical Storm Leslie hit the Island in September.It was selected as one of 46 “readers’ pictures of the year” this week by the Telegraph.Mrs Prescott, 33, from Paget, said: “I’m surprised and excited about it. I sent it in on a whim thinking that they always look for pictures and I didn’t hear anything. Then my Mom was reading through the Telegraph and found it and told me.”Mrs Prescott, who works as an insurance underwriter, said she enjoys photography as a hobby and took the winning picture on her iPhone.“I enjoy that feeling of finding something interesting and unique, or something you don’t usually see, and I like the idea that something Bermudian is seen off the island like this.
