The Corporation of St George is seeking a Town Crier. The job falls under the supervision of the Town Manager and the responsibilities include:

*Representing the Town of St. George in the official capacity of Town Crier, and attending Corporation functions.

*The Town Crier must dress in the appropriate historic attire and greet guests in the traditional Town Crier manner.

*Work in a team environment, assisting in the co-ordination and implementation of activities and events that benefit the resident, businesses and visitors.

The successful applicant should possess good human relations communications, public speaking skills and must be capable of representing St. George's in a professional and dignified manner.

Work hours includes some weekends, evenings and public holidays.

Salary: Negotiable.

Old town welcomes a special guest

Santa Claus will be coming to St. George's this Saturday evening, December 6, at 7 p.m. on the Town Square.

The evening will begin with the performances of a variety of majorettes.

Santa will make his appearance shortly afterwards and will have candy for all the children who speak to him.

It is not certain when the evening finishes but the dancing Bermuda Gombeys will end the show with one of their moving performances!
