It's full speed ahead for IBC
a new speedy delivery service in the domestic United States. The Bermudian company, which is the authorised local representative for UPS, says it will get documents delivered by 8 a.m. the next day in certain metropolitan areas.
Previously IBC promised next-day delivery by 10.30 a.m. The new extra-express delivery is for documents only and is a special service incurring an additional cost.
"This is what the international market here wants, so we will offer it,'' IBC president and CEO Glen Smith said.
He noted IBC already offers a unique same-evening special delivery service for documents in its hands by 5 p.m. The documents will reach their intended address between 10 p.m. and midnight that night.

Another courier firm FedEx announced on Wednesday that it was promising next-day delivery by 8 a.m. as well to more than 5,000 zip codes in the US as well as select postal codes in some European cities.

He joined the company at the start of 1997 as a sales rep with responsibility for Gallo Wines and was promoted to marketing manager for the company's beer brands the following year. He will retain that position.
