Breaking News: Police investigate 15th road death this year

Police are today investigating the cause of a fatal road crash — the 15th on the Island’s roads this year.At about 9.55am today Police were called to a crash on Somerset Road, in Sandys, near Arnold’s Supermarket.A Police spokesman said: “Details about how the collision occurred remain unclear, however it appears that a motorcycle was traveling north on Somerset Road when the rider, a 38-year-old Sandys parish man, lost control while attempting to overtake a car and collided with a wall.”
Barrister and former politician Julian Hall passed away at the age of 59 late on Saturday night.
Mr. Hall, who had been ill for several months, was surrounded by his family.
One of this three daughters, Liana Hall, 24, said this afternoon: “My father was, to me and other people, a giant of a man. He really was a legend.”
