Street, Hamilton, has finally opened for business. The restaurant and bar complex was originally scheduled to open at the end of June but there was a delay in the delivery of an elevator from Canada.

By Friday, when the business opened to the public, the elevator had been installed but was not working sufficiently well for customers to be allowed to use it.

The Green Shutters Building is owned by Gosling's and managed by Mr. John Roach, his wife, Pamela, and Mr. Tony Duggan, who have formed a company called Shutters Ltd. There is a public bar on the ground floor and a restaurant on three split levels, with office space on the upper two floors.

The business is open seven days a week, from 11.30-1 a.m., with no meals served after 11 p.m.
