Restaurant opening delayed
Building, in Hamilton, has been put back partly because of a delay in the delivery of a mahogany and glass elevator which is still in Canada.
Mr. John Roach, his wife Pamela and Mr. Tony Duggan, who have the management contract for the Gosling's-owned building, had originally hoped to open up at the end of June but are now aiming for the second week in August.
Most of the building, which is located next to the Hog Penny restaurant, on Burnaby Hill, is being turned into an American bistro-type diner along the lines of the TGIFriday chain in the US.
When completed, it will boast a public bar on the ground floor and a restaurant on three split levels, with office space on the upper two floors.
After the elevator arrives, it will be fitted in a glass atrium.
