million cocaine bust, it emerged last night.

On Friday William Roberts, 71, and his wife Barbara, 59, appeared in Magistrates' Court charged with possession of cocaine intended for supply.

They were also charged with handling cocaine intended for supply and having 36 plastic bags, kitchen scales and a knife in connection with a controlled drug.

The couple, from West Side Road, Sandys Parish, and the parents of champion powerboat racer Kirk Roberts, were remanded into custody after the court hearing.

A third person was arrested on Friday evening in connection with the cocaine find and was questioned by Police over the weekend.

Police are not naming the suspect however it is thought a person could appear in Magistrates' Court today in connection with the cocaine haul.
