Police advise: Lock your homes
Created: Mar 01, 2008 10:00 AM
The Bermuda Police Service has issued a reminder to the public to lock their homes before they leave for any length of time.
The service is still receiving reports of break-ins at homes after they were left unlocked. Police are encouraging the public to secure all windows and doors before leaving to prevent being victims of burglary.
Police are also encouraging the public, especially senior citizens, to be careful of individuals coming to your home to do work on the property.
Residents are encouraged to ask individuals for identification and to call the company they claim to work for if you are still unsure. Senior citizens are encouraged to contact Age Concern for a list of individuals who do household repairs.
