Woman injured in hit-and-run collision

A hit-and-run collision in Paget resulted in a Devonshire woman being taken to hospital.According to a Police spokesman, at around 11.30pm on Saturday officers responded to reports of a collision at the junction of South Road and Point Finger Road.“It appears that a motorcycle was being ridden along South Road and a car was being driven along the same road when the vehicles collided at the junction,” the spokesman said.“The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old Devonshire woman, was injured. She was apparently taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated and discharged.“The car involved reportedly left the scene following the collision.”Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Pc Mark Monk on 295-0011.
