Coming in October's RG Magazine

opens this week and the art show, which features more than 100 paintings, sculpture, photography and films, is featured on the cover of the October issue of RG Magazine . The 92-page magazine -- the biggest RG ever -- is available free only with tomorrow's edition of The Royal Gazette . Art critic Patricia Calnan previews the show which includes the Azores most famous work, The Emigrants by Domingo Rebelo. As the Azores' most treasured work of art, a special vote of Parliament had to be obtained to allow even its temporary removal from the country for the Bermuda show. Also on the cultural front, RG features a preview of the upcoming Bermuda Jazz Festival and includes interviews with stars Al Jarreau and Oleta Adams. October also marks RG 's Fall Homes and Gardens issue. This edition focuses on building and renovating your dream home and features advice from both ordinairy homeowners to award-winning architects and designers. The issue includes more than 40 pages of ideas on everything from how to deal with the stress of renovating to creating expert paint finishes on a small budget. Plus there's an in-depth look at Bermuda's water supply and how our increasing population is putting pressure on this valuable resource.
