Ad agency receives US award for calendar
Annual Dimensional Illustrators Awards Show in the United States.
The award was presented for Creative Dimensions' design of the 1992 calendar of BF&M insurance group.
The work was selected from over 1,400 entries worldwide for what judges called its "creativity and technical excellence'' in 3-Dimensional design.
Mrs. Rhona Emmerson, the art director on the project, and Miss Deborah Marirea, the calendar's 3-D illustrator, flew to New York to receive the award on December 1.
The calendar was part of an exhibition in New York entitled "A Renaissance in 3-D Illustration'', showcasing 325 award winners.
The calendar's illustrations were made entirely from recycled materials and were also featured in BF&M's annual report and company newsletters.
Mrs. Emmerson, who is president of Creative Dimensions, said: "We're certainly thrilled to receive the award.'' She praised BF&M for giving Creative Dimensions total freedom to come up with a design for the calendar. Mrs. Emmerson also praised the work of Miss Marirea.
