Bermuda was named in the top ten Caribbean destinations on by online travel agency Orbitz.

The company is promoting winter vacations to hot destinations and named Bermuda as the ninth best place to go in the Caribbean.

The site says the Island is a good choice for families and recommends Dolphin Quest, the Bermuda Maritime Museum, Bermuda Aquarium Museum and Zoo as well as the Crystal and Fantasy Caves.

The site also says the Island is an ideal winter getaway because of its close proximity to the east coast of the US.

Bahamas placed first while Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic ranked second and third respectively.

The site determined a destination's popularity by examining vacation packages, hotel bookings and other destination trend data.
