Biological Station for Research's annual Marine Science Day, scheduled for September 9.

The yearly event held on BBSR's St. George's campus began in 1987, and has never failed to entertain or teach locals and visitors alike of the incredible bounty found in Bermuda's immediate waters.

BBSR Director Tony Knap said: "There is an element of wonder and discovery in it for all ages, whether it is introducing people to the thrill of the ocean deep for the first time or keeping them informed about new research.'' Activities will include laboratory tours, hands-on science experiments, interactive exhibits and demonstrations and research cruises in St. George's harbour and an aquarium touch tank.

For the younger crowd, there will be singing, dancing, a puppet show, fun castles, art activities and experiments.

The event is free and runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 9. A shuttle bus will transport people from St. George's swing bridge on Kindley Field Road to BBSR.
