Bank share price up
Bermuda Exchange yesterday with $139,520 worth of trading in the firm.
Its price remained stable at $8 but it appeared someone was looking to sell in a hurry.
The Exchange Index rose by just 0.02 to close at 800.88 yesterday after trading which saw just one movement in share price, involving the Bank of Bermuda.
The Bank's common stock rose by 25 cents each to close at $33.75, with a smallish volume of 801.
There was more bottom fishing going on at Bermuda Press (Holdings), with 1,730 shares being snapped up for $5.50.
Other trades were: Argus, which closed at $9.50, with volume of 3,529; Bank of Butterfield, $20, 2,363; BF&M nine percent preference, $11.50, 1,000; Bermuda Commercial Bank, $5.25, 778; BF&M Ltd., $12, 498; Bermuda Electric Light Co., $16.25, 311; and Bermuda Bakery, $12, 100. A total of $282,395 worth of shares were traded.
