Island Rangers pulled level with Forties for the second spot, three points adrift of the leaders, as they downed Lobster Pot 2-1 courtesy of a double strike by Troy Berkeley, which offset a goal by Pot's Joe Barbosa.

Meanwhile, Forties dropped a point in being held 1-1 by Robin Hood. Rob Jones was the marksman for Forties while Des Minors converted a penalty for Hood.

Battling back from the jaws of defeat were Spinning Wheel in their match against winless Fire Services. In `B' action, Somerset Extros maintained their ascendancy in the tables based on a 2-1 victory over Devonshire Colts All-Stars. Arthur Tucker and Donnie Simmons were on target for the west-enders, who now stand second on four points from three matches.

Goals by Cal Dill and Kevin Bean secured North Village Rams' first points of the season as they eased their frustrations with a 2-0 triumph against Prison Officers.

The only other match saw Exiles and current leaders St. George's All Stars engage in a scoreless draw.

Dandy Town picked up the pieces following last week's Alliance Division Group `A' loss to Somerset and proceeded to bury Devonshire Cougars 5-2 on Saturday.

Lionel Furbet and Lionel Cann continued their torrid scoring pace, with the former finding the back of the net twice and the latter once. Also aiding in the destruction were Shivaughn Smith and Kurt Martin.

Tied on points with Town are St. George's, who scraped by Somerset 1-0. Del Tyrell recorded his first goal of the season for the east-enders.

After posting nine goals in their previous match Devonshire Colts went one better, giving seven-man Port Royal a royal 10-1 hiding.

Prospect came out on top of BAA 3-2 in a match-up of cellar dwellers. Erskine Smith, Kenneth Bartram and Dwayne Leverock scored for the men in blue while Gary Flood twice struck pay dirt for the Green Knights.

Southampton Rangers likewise were 3-2 winners over St. David's.
