Collective Investment Scheme Supervisors agreed at a meeting in Bermuda to encourage high standards of supervision to maintain adequate protection of markets and users.

The supervisors also agreed to co-operate more with each other in the regulation of collective investment schemes -- a term which refers generally to mutual funds and unit trusts.

Bermuda Monetary Authority general manager Malcolm Williams was re-elected chairman of the group during the meeting which was held Friday.

London-based producer and film finance consultant Adam Page, chief executive of The Ottawa Group, will chair a high-powered panel discussion on film production, risk and return, and the practical considerations of investing in the industry.

Lawyers Richard Moxon, Michael Levine, Keith Fleer will be part of the panel.

Warren Cabral, a partner at local law firm Appleby Spurling & Kempe who has recently launched an "Entertainment Group'' to look at new projects in the film industry and investments, will also be part of the panel.
