Man accused of robbery, assault and drug-dealing
A 28-year-old Sandys man appeared in court charged with robbery, assault and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Wendell Tucker pleaded not guilty to seven offences at Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The charges include: assault causing bodily harm to William Bascome in Warwick on November 16; robbery of $20 and a pack of cigarettes from Mr. Bascome; driving a vehicle without a driving licence on October 18; attempting to dishonestly obtain $1,758.35 from the Bank of Butterfield on January 15; using a false instrument (an alleged fraudulent cheque) to obtain money from the Bank of Butterfield on this date; possession of cocaine with intent to supply on September 25, 2006; and possession of cannabis.
Tucker was remanded in custody and will face trial at Magistrates' Court for the drugs charges on January 16.
