Mr. Musson took over the job last Monday and will be responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the company.

Mr. Musson said: "I look forward to fulfilling Cablevision's commitment to providing its subscribers with the highest quality and best variety of cable programming that is available.'' Mr. Musson is taking over the job after giving up his post as Chief Executive Officer of the Bermuda Land Development Company.

Before this, from 1993 to 1997, he was the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health and Social Services.

Mr. Musson was with the Ministry of Finance from 1988 to 1993 working firstly as budget director and then as assistant financial secretary.

Before joining the public sector, Mr. Musson worked at Imperial Oil Ltd in Toronto, Canada from 1975 to 1988, where he was manager of business controls and financial manager.

Before taking that post, he worked as a consulting engineer with GN Haden & sons in London.

In his youth, Mr. Musson won in Bermuda two scholarships -- the Commonwealth Scholarship and a Bermuda Government Scholarship.

He went on to get his Master of business Administration degree from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Manitoba.
