Hospital, the Hospitals Board announced yesterday.

Effective June 1, visiting hours will be extended from 12 noon-8 p.m. on general wards. Previously, the wards were only accessible to visitors between 3-8 p.m.

"The change has been made to enable family and friends to spread their visits over a longer period of time,'' a hospital spokesperson said.

Also effective from June 1, visitors will no longer be required to sign in with security prior to visiting. Security officers will continue to be available at nursing units to control the number of visitors.
