The husband of United Bermuda Party MP Patricia Gordon-Pamplin appeared in court yesterday charged with unlawful wounding and possession of an unlawful weapon.

Dennis Reeves Pamplin, of Loyal Hill, Devonshire, is facing the charges following an incident on March 19, when he is alleged to also have been carrying the weapon - a baseball bat.

The case against the 52-year-old, who is married to Bermuda's Shadow Labour and Home Affairs Minister, was adjourned until October, when a trial in Magistrates Court is scheduled.

Lawyer Mark Pettingill is acting for Mr. Pamplin, and Oonagh Vaucrosson is acting for the Crown.
