The Department of Tourism's assistant director (marketing) Cherie Whitter is leaving the department.

Ms Whitter, who has been with Tourism for six years, is leaving to take up a new appointment on the Island.

She said last night: "I am leaving the department to diversify my learning and grow professionally.

"It is with a little sadness I do this because I really love working in the ministry, I love working with the minister and my colleagues, so it is with mixed emotions that I leave."
