BHF Medical scholarships for four and a salute to physician

Four future Bermudian medical workers received a leg up last week courtesy of the Bermuda Health Foundation, while another medical professional was rewarded for his service to the community.

The Bermuda Health Foundation presented four students studying various areas of medicine $12,000 scholarships. The students, Ashley DaCosta, Attiya Talbot, Natasha Todd and Whitney Matthew, were given the scholarships at a luncheon held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.

Dr. Eugene Harvey was awarded with the Salute to Service award at the luncheon for his contributions to the Island, both as a physician and for his involvement with the Bermuda National Trust, Keep Bermuda Beautiful and other charitable organisations.
