Police attended XL Insurance on Victoria Street following reports an office drawer was forced open and a large quantity of US cash stolen. The incident happened Friday evening.

A female tourist whose rental bike was stolen from Horseshoe Bay also lost all her personal items she had stored under the seat. Credit cards, house keys a Sony Discman, 24 compact discs and cash were all gone with the bike.

Also over the weekend, jewellry, $21, and a black RCA video cassette recorder were removed from a home on Rambling Lane in Pembroke. On Beacon Hill in Somerset, a CD player was stolen from a private residence and from a home on Peet Lane in Smith's, $400 was taken from a bedroom.

On Saturday, a tourist returning to his Pembroke accommodation reported that he disturbed a burglar. The culprit did manage to escape with $80, some jewellry and personal items of the guest.

Thieves stole clothing and a Sanyo cassette and radio player from the Salvation Army Thrift Shop and $470 from a wallet left in the living room of a home in St. George's.
