Two tourists were robbed on their rental cycle as they travelled through Devonshire.

The incident happened at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday at the junction of Middle Road and Tribe Road One. The visitors a 23-year-old and 24-year-old Frenchman, were uninjured but had cash, personal items and an Olympus camera stolen.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "It appears that the victims were riding a rental cycle, travelling east on Middle Road, when an unknown man on another rental cycle rode up from behind and grabbed a bag from the visitors' cycle. The offender then made good his escape via Tribe Road One."

The suspect is described as a black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks and wore a white T-shirt. Police inquiries are underway.

The break-in took place at a house in Orchard Lane between 11 p.m. on Monday and 9 p.m. on Tuesday.

A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said: "Inquiries into this incident are underway."
