The writ was filed by Quantum on Monday but lawyer Tim Marshall declined to comment.

Quantum was responsible for $8.4 million in losses by majority shareholder Belco Holdings last year. Earlier this year there was speculation the telephone carrier's sale was imminent to an "interested party''.
