Eight-year-old girl struck by motorcycle

An eight-year-old girl suffered bruising after being struck by a motorcycle on Middle Road, Southampton yesterday morning, Police said.

Police said the girl was walking across a pedestrian crossing near Traditions Restaurant when a motorcycle travelling west overtook a car and struck her.

She was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of bruising and released.
