A ten-year veteran of the Police service has been promoted to Sergeant. Sgt. Dorian Alvin Astwood, previously a constable, spent three months with the Eastern uniform division after completing basic training and the recruit foundation course. He was transferred to Central uniform where he spent a year and a half performing duties.

Sgt. Astwood has also spent time in the task force, Western uniform, traffic enforcement and at Somerset Police station.

He has also completed several training courses, including the standard driving course, advanced driving course, motorcycle course, local driving instructors? course, emergency response team course, pro laser operators? course, advance driving course in England, and the US Army combat pistol qualification course in Florida.
