A 71-year-old man died yesterday after falling into the sea at Ordnance Island in St. George's.

Winslow (Bo) Minors, of Anchorage Road, St. George's, was sitting on a wall when the accident happened at about 6.15 p.m. on Saturday.

Police said that Mr. Minors' friends jumped into the water and pulled him out before unsuccessfully trying to resuscitate him. He was declared dead at the scene.

• A 22-year-old Pembroke man was last night in critical condition at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital after he lost control over his motorcycle at the junction of Princess and Elliot Street, in Pembroke.

The apparent collision happened at around 3.20 a.m. yesterday morning. Police say details are sketchy and the rider was found on the ground unconscious and was taken to hospital via ambulance.

Last night he was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit and Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to this incident to contact Roads Policing at 295-0011.
