Take a walk on the Sunshine side!
Sunshine League's Moon Walk on July 15.
The five-and-a-half mile walk from Warwick Playground to St. Ann's Church and back is being organised by the league's special events committee.
Refreshments will be served at the playground after the walk.
"The Sunshine League is important to Bermuda because we have an 80-year history in Bermuda as a non-profit foster home,'' home director Karen Hodgson said. "We have often been there when no one else has.
"This will be a walk with a difference -- it's under a full moon!'' Ms Hodgson added.
"We thought we should do something different for this walk,'' she said.
"It's summertime and the evenings are a lot cooler than the days. We thought we could capture the best and largest crowd.'' Registration for the walk is $5 and the first 200 people get a free T-shirt, complements of Lombard Odier (Bermuda) Ltd.
Pledge sheets and registration are available from Jennifer at the Sunshine League at 292-4360 and at the Hamilton MarketPlace on July 13 and 14.
