Six nightclub by a jilted band has begun.

But the parties involved will have to wait until the court registrar can find an open date, when the cross-examination of businessman Nelson Hunt will continue.

Musical director of Exotique (formerly The Electronic Symphony), Stefan Hinds, is suing Mr. Hunt and his company, Inner Harbour for some $400,000 for breach of contract.

Yesterday Mr. Hunt denied he invited Exotique to return to Bermuda from Atlanta, Georgia and said he was not pleased with the group's performance in the Spring of 1996. He had cancelled a November 1995 contract within the 30 day "early out'' period after looking at the overhead for having a full-time band.

Mr. Hunt said: "It was too risky to carry on. I exercised my option of a 30 day early out. I had no alternative to cancel any long term obligations that may have been entered into.''
