Do you have the talent to represent Bermuda?
The chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and the opportunity to compete in an international talent competition is open to all girls in Bermuda between 13 and 17 years of age.
The event is the annual Miss Talented Teen Bermuda the winner of which competes in Hal Jackson?s Talented Teens International Scholarship Competition on July 30 in The US Virgin Islands.
Auditions for the local leg will be held next Tuesday, January 18, at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts at CedarBridge Academy from 5 to 7 p.m.
Teens who have passing grades and are in regular attendance at their respective schools are invited to audition.They will have to make a two-minute talent presentation and be interviewed at the audition.
The members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Bermuda Chapter will present the Hal Jackson?s Talented Teens Bermuda Scholarship Competition on April 9, 2005 at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for the Performing Arts.
Young women will be graded on personality, performing talent, and appearance and will have the chance to win a $1,000 scholarship and other prizes including the trip to compete in the international finals. Girls from all over the United States and several foreign countries will participate in the International competition.
The reigning Miss Talented Teen Bermuda is Teshae Trott, who wowed both local and international audiences with her mime presentation in last year?s competitions.
Previous winners include Bermuda Idol finalist, Twanee Butterfield, and Bermuda College student Danielle Greaves.
