A 48-year-old was yesterday charged with causing grievous bodily harm to two people while driving while impaired.Douglas Mitchell, of South Cote Road, Paget, wasn’t required to plead to the charges as they must be heard in Supreme Court.Mr Mitchell is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Acacia Trott and Christoper Chiappa while his ability to drive was impaired. He is further charged with driving with an excess amount of alcohol in his blood.The charges relate to a September 27 incident.Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner released Mr Mitchell on $10,000 bail and ordered him to reappear in Magistrates’ Court for mention on December 5.
