An alleged attack on Front Street in the early hours of Saturday landed a 24-year-old man in court yesterday.

Kevin Fox is accused of breaking 27-year-old Leigh Thurston's jaw in the 2 a.m. incident. Crown counsel Brett Webber did not give any details of the alleged circumstances in Magistrates' Court.

Fox, of Abri Lane, Pembroke, was not required to enter a plea to the charge of causing grievous bodily harm to Mr. Thurston, of Paget, as the matter must go to Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner granted him $10,000 bail and ordered him to return for an administrative hearing on May 18.
