opening their brief tour instead against a semi-professional team called the Wavers in Montego Bay on Friday night.

The match will be played at a standing-room-only field called Little Wembley, which is where the Bermuda Regiment once played.

The Bermuda team left yesterday afternoon and will fly into Jamaica today after spending the night in New York. After playing the match in Montego Bay the local squad then travels to Kingston on Saturday morning for the match against Jamaica at the National Stadium on Sunday at 10 p.m. Bermuda time.

The squad left without defender Wayne Campbell who pulled a hamstring in Sunday's FA Cup final but Somerset striker Rodney Bascome was a late addition to the squad who are also missing strikers Shawn Goater and Ricky Hill.

Goater's English club, Rotherham, preferred not to release him as they are in the thick of the promotion race in the Fourth Division while another pro, David Bascome, has only just finished his indoor season in the United States with Harrisburg Heat.

Meshach Wade, another professional, is injured, though his Hereford team-mate, Kentoine Jennings, is with the Bermuda team, having returned from England on Sunday.

This tour will serve as a warm-up for Bermuda's World Cup matches with Haiti on April 26 and May 24.
