Two Bermudians will be recognised tomorrow at a ceremony which honours female entrepreneurs.

They will receive a scholarship and a business development grant, both worth $10,000 from the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the world organisation.

This year 17 women from ten countries will be honoured and then inducted into the organisation at the April 29 ceremony.

The organisation offers the Anita Alberts Memorial Scholarship Award to a young woman in the host country who shows commitment to higher education and exhibits proven leadership skills and community involvement.

The second is the Take the Next Step Award - it is a business development grant and will be handed to a woman entrepreneur who owns at least 50 percent of a profitable business which has been in operation for around three years. The awards for the Bermudian women will be presented to the winners at XL Capital tomorrow evening.
