Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Andre Anthony Tucker, David Anthony Dill and Coltrane Ratteray were not required to enter pleas to the charges, which can only be tried in Supreme Court.

The three men are accused of an attack on Proctor on February 11 which resulted in Proctor's spleen being removed.

Tucker, 33, of Seawall Drive, Boaz Island, Dill, 32, of no fixed abode and Ratteray, 20, of Lusher Hill, Warwick were unrepresented in court and formally charged with intent to do grievous bodily harm unlawfully causing grievous bodily harm to Stephen Proctor.

Acting Senior Magistrate Edward King said: "This offence is a serious offence. You would be well advised to seek legal representation.'' The three were about to leave court in custody when Mr. King found a traffic charge against Tucker.

Tucker pleaded guilty to driving without a licence on January 11.

He was fined $100 to pay immediately or serve 14 days starting straightaway.

Proctor, 52, is the Sandys Parish man who Police shot with rubber bullets in January and was being held at the Westgate Correctional Facility during his trial for allegedly assaulting a Police officer.
