Two men were being held by Police last night in connection with last weekend's double murder in St. David's.

The pair were arrested at 6 p.m. on Saturday under suspicion of being involved in the killings of Maxwell (Buckshot) Brangman and Frederick (Freddie) Gilbert.

As of press time last night neither man had been charged, according to a spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service.

Police have not revealed the identities of the men in custody, or said from which parish they come.

In a statement Police said they are encouraged by the positive feedback from potential witnesses and public assistance so far given and are now appealing to anyone else with relevant information to come forward, particularly if they attended the Old School Reggae Party at RAA in St. George or the Ovations Night Club on the night of Saturday 21st and the early hours of Sunday 22nd.

Police are also keen to speak to a woman who called the Black Horse Restaurant around 6.20 p.m. last Thursday offering information about the murder investigation.

Anyone with information, whether they believe it significant or not, is asked to telephone 299-4315 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-623-8477.
